You Must Pay A Price For Success Whatever you want in life, you must give up something to get it. The greater the value, the greater the sacrifice required of you. There’s a price to pay if you want to make things better, and a price you’ll pay for just leaving things as they are. Nothing worthwhile comes easily to anyone. Work, continuous work and hard work, is the only way to accomplish results that last. Don’t let the fear of change stop you from pursuing your dreams. There is no success at bargain basement prices. The highway to success is a toll road. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Do The Next Thing Keeping a little ahead of conditions is one of the secrets of business. The time to repair your roof is when the sun is shining. Do things before they need to be done. Let your advance worrying become advance thinking and planning. Position yourself ahead of time in the best place for you. You’ll gain the advantage in any situation through the medium of time. When you think ahead of any approaching action you’ll always have the advantage. You’ll be the winner. When you do what is necessary, all the odds are in your favor to attain the success you seek. We Are Not Alone The power of multiple minds is not a new one. One mind, one thought. Multiple minds, multiple thoughts. When planning, or working on a challenge, share your thoughts with other positive individuals. Expand your options through the mastermind principle. Napoleon Hill describes the mastermind principle as: “The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.” There is synergy, energy, commitment, and excitement when individuals come together. Use this tool to help you reach goals and accomplish more of what you are capable of. What Are You Doing Now We learn from the past, we plan for the future, but all we do is what we do today. What steps are you going to take today on your journey to reach your goals. Ask yourself this question, “In what I am doing now, is it taking me closer to or farther from my goals?” A simple question can make a small difference in what we do today. What you do today will make a big difference in where you end up tomorrow. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Everyone Has Potential People with potential are like cars. They can have a high performance engine, heavy duty drive train, and high octane fuel. The potential is there – big deal! Potential is only useful when used. You need to know where you want to go, start your engine, and put it in gear. We all know individuals from our past who were not the smartest but still excelled in life. They knew what they wanted and did something about it. The degree of success is based on accomplishment, not potential. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

It’s A Matter Of Choice Regardless of the circumstances you face, you always have the ability to choose. Right or left, up or down, action or no action. Each decision we make has a consequence, each road a destination. Choosing the road of least resistance can cause crooked rivers and crooked men. Investing the time to think through the possible consequences of our choices can make a difference in which choice we make. The choice we make will determine our direction. Our direction will determine where we end up. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

No Such Thing As Failure There is no such thing as failure for those who have a positive attitude. You plan, execute, and produce results. If the results are not what you expected or wanted, refine your plan and move forward. Thomas Edison said he found multiple ways a light bulb would not work before he found a way it would. But from every experiment he learned something and moved forward until he achieved the result he wanted. Do the same. Plan, execute, and measure your results until you achieve the desired results. Do it over, and over, and over and never stop. This is what it takes to achieve worthwhile goals. In Every Adversity “In every adversity is the seed of greater or equal opportunity.” This quote by Norman Vincent Peale can make a difference in how we perceive our situations every day. Look for the equal or greater opportunity in every situation. It is there. Believe it. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be open to you. Riches Lie Inside You, Not In Material Possessions Wealth without enjoyment is little consolation. Your real prosperity lies in being thankful. Your real riches are riches of the head and heart. Satisfaction comes from appreciating what you have. Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get. It’s not how much you have, it’s how much you enjoy. You Are What You Repeatedly Do First you make your habits, and then your habits make you. You become a slave to your constantly repeated acts. What at first you choose, at last compels. Your habits are either the best of servants or the worst of masters. Your thoughts lead you on to a purpose, your purposes go forth in action. Your actions form your habits. Your habits determine your character, and your character fixes your destiny. Once in motion, a pattern stays in motion.
