It’s Always A Good Time To Change The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are. You’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your goals. Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success or are they holding you back? Your world today is a living expression of how you are using and have used your mind. It’s something that you can change at any time. You don’t have to remain a captive of your environment. Don’t say “If I could change, I would change,” say “I can change, and I will change.” (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

You Can Do Something Your life will always be to a large extent whatever you want to make of it. The mold to your success and fortune are in your hands. You can’t do everything, but you can do something. You choose your thoughts and your actions. Your thoughts and your actions will lead you to success. Nobody can do it for you. Nobody will do it for you. You have to make it happen. Only you can find success. If you take responsibility for your actions, you can live your dreams and attain the success you want and deserve. You Do Not Exist For Yourself You’re not an isolated island. You’re a piece of the planet, a piece of the universe. Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows. Your success depends on the support of other people. The only hurdle between you and what you want to be, is the support of others. When you put yourself in another’s place, you’ll know why they think and do certain things. You can succeed fastest by helping others to succeed. Always think in terms of what the other person wants. You’ll get everything in life that you want if you’ll help enough other people get what they want. Doing things for others always pays dividends. When you help someone’s boat across a river, you’ll find your own boat has reached the shore too. Business Consultant Wanted!

But what is a Business Consultant and Do You Really Need One? By Valerie G. Cardenas As most of you know, I’m a Reno business consultant. That is, I’m based in Reno, Nevada, and do most of my business consulting right here, in Reno, with a few clients across the country. I have defined my consulting services in this way: As a business consultant, I help you make your business successful! But no matter where my clients are, whether it’s Nevada or New York, one of the most frequent questions I get from business owners is: What exactly is a business consultant? Here’s my brief definition: A business consultant is an experienced, trained professional who guides you to achieve your goals and streamline your processes. Goals are usually centered around business or career, but can often be of a personal nature too. The next questions are often along these lines: How do I know if I need a business consultant? How do I hire someone to consult with me on my business? What criteria do I use to make my selection? How do I determine how capable a consultant is, and also how compatible with me? These are all excellent questions to ask before you plunk down your hard-earned dollars to hire someone to help you grow your business. Below you will find my answers and general guidelines to help these concerns. How Do I Choose a Business Consultant? Here are a few of my thoughts on choosing the best consultant for your needs: Choose someone who is interested in your business and your goals, who listens to you first, without offering pat or canned solutions. A business consultant must be a good, active listener who can fully understand your situation and needs. Find a professional who understands business and…

You Have To Give, Before You Get It’s a universal law: You have to give before you get. You must plant your seeds before you reap the harvest. The law works to give you back more than you have sown. When you give to others, you’ll find yourself blessed. The more you sow, the more you reap. He who obtains has little. He who scatters has much. Nature does not give to those who will not spend. You only get to keep what you give away. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Opportunity Lies In The Midst Of Difficulty Successful people don’t achieve their distinction by having some new talent or opportunity presented to them. They developed an opportunity that was at hand. You’ll find that every situation, properly perceived, offers you an opportunity. As fast as each opportunity presents itself, use it. No matter how tiny an opportunity may be, use it. Every problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it literally dwarfs the problem. The greatest success stories were created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity. You’ll find new directions when you have an open mind and a willing hand. You must make your own opportunities if you want to be successful. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Self Suggestion Makes You Master Of Yourself Whatever thoughts you plant in your subconscious mind and nourish every day with conviction and emotion will one day become a reality. Constant repetition carries conviction. Repeat something often enough and it will start to become you. A change in what you tell yourself will result in a change in your behavior. What you impress upon your mind, you’ll inevitably become. You are what you think. Fear Is Overcome With Action One of the greatest surprises you’ll experience, is when you discover that you can do what you were afraid you couldn’t do. Your obstacles will melt away, if instead of cowering before them, you make up your mind to walk boldly through them. Do the thing you fear and fear disappears. Confront your fears, list them, get to know them and only then will you be able to put them aside and move ahead. When you face the things that scare you, you open the door to freedom. The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)
