Making Choices Is Your Greatest Power While your character is formed by your circumstances, your desires can shape those circumstances. The one thing over which you have absolute control is your own thoughts. It is this that puts you in a position to control your own destiny. Nature is constantly at work around you. Character and destiny are her handiwork. She gives you love and hate, jealousy and reverence. You have the power to choose which impulse you follow. At any time you can decide to alter the course of your life. No one can ever take that away from you. You can do what you want to do and be who you want to be. Your greatest power is the power to choose. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

When You Cease To Dream, You Cease To Live If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge your thought of it and yourself. You can lift yourself by your thoughts, and your vision of the future will help you climb mountains. Hold the ideal of yourself as you long to be, your ideal of what you long to attain——- the ideal of health, efficiency, success. You’ll become as small as your controlling desire or as great as your dominant aspiration. High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation. It’s Always A Good Time To Change The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are. You’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your goals. Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success or are they holding you back? Your world today is a living expression of how you are using and have used your mind. It’s something that you can change at any time. You don’t have to remain a captive of your environment. Don’t say “If I could change, I would change,” say “I can change, and I will change.” (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

All Knowledge Is Power You build the power to accomplish your goals when you educate yourself. This power comes from knowing how to do something. Power is the product of understanding. The most successful people in life are the one’s with the best information. People with power are people who know how to get things done. Knowing how to do something is sometimes virtually the same as having done it. Knowledge will come to you by having your eyes and mind always open. There is no knowledge that is not power. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Love Is Eternal Once you have learned to love; who you are, what you do, and those around you, you will have truly learned to live. Search for love, for it is the most important ingredient of life. Without it, your life will echo emptiness. With it, your life will vibrate with warmth and meaning. Even during any hardship, love will shine through. To love abundantly is to live abundantly. To love forever is to live forever. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Everything Is Possible If You Believe There are no real barriers to your success. You must simply overcome any doubts you have about your ability. Your self image prescribes the limits for your accomplishments. It prescribes the area of what is possible for you. Don’t be afraid of living. Believe that life is worth living and you will create that fact around you. If you see yourself as prosperous, you will be. If you see yourself as broke, that is exactly what you will be. You will never succeed until you believe you can succeed. You can be who you want to be. Work Is Love Made Visible You’ll never achieve real success unless you like what you’re doing. Your chances for success will be directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do. If you have a job you hate, face the fact squarely and get out. Work is reward, not punishment. If you enjoy what you do, you’ll be successful. If you don’t enjoy what you do, you won’t be successful. Your success in any occupation depends on your enjoyment. Loving your work will make all the difference. Success in its highest and noblest form calls for peace of mind, enjoyment, and happiness. This comes only when you find the work that you like best. You don’t pay the price for success. You enjoy the price of success. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

What You See Is What You Get The realities of life result from many outside factors, much of which you can control. Your attitude, however, reflects the way in which you evaluate what’s happening to you. It is not your situation, it’s your reaction to the situation that’s important. Things always seem to turn out best for those people who can make the best out of the way things turn out. Life at any time can become difficult. Life at any time can become easy. It all depends upon how you adjust yourself to life. You cannot always control your circumstances. But you can always think positive thoughts. There is nothing either good or bad, only your thinking makes it so. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

You Have To Make Your Own Opportunities Success isn’t going to come knocking on your door. You have to work for it. You have to find it. You don’t need more strength or more ability or greater opportunity. What you need is to use what you have. The golden opportunity you’re seeking lies in yourself. It’s not in your environment. It’s not in luck or chance or the help of others. It’s in you. There will always be a new opportunity where there is an open mind and a willing hand. Open your own door to opportunity.
