It’s A Good Time To Change Where you are in your life today, you made an appointment to be there five years ago. Where you’ll be five years from now will be determined by your actions today and in the future. The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are. Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success – or are they holding you back? You’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your goals. Your world today is a living expression of how you’re using and have used your mind. It’s something you can change at any time. Don’t remain a captive of your environment. Don’t say ” I would, If I could,”say, “I will, If I can.” You can make changes anytime. Why not start today? Your Mind Sets Your Limits If you believe that you can do something, you can do it. You must believe in it – one hundred percent. What you believe yourself to be, you are. Your self image prescribes the limits for the accomplishment of your goals. It prescribes the “area of the possible” for you. Self-esteem is the strongest single factor in prosperity consciousness. You must believe you can do it, believe you deserve it, and believe you will get it. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success. The feelings must come first from within you. If you actually feel rich, if you have a deep inner conviction that you will always have all that you need, it will be so. What you see is what you get. It’s all in your mind. Find The Good Side To Every Situation You cannot have the success you seek without some failures too. Any experience can be transformed into something of value. Everything depends on the way you look at things. What appear to be stumbling blocks and defeat before you can be stepping stones to victory if you remain determined. In all of your adversities lies the seeds of equivalent advantages. In every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the next time. View your problems as opportunities. When it’s dark enough you can see the stars. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Colin Powell’s Rules It ain’t as bad as you think. It will look better in the morning. Get mad, then get over it. Avoid having your ego so close to your position that when your position falls, your ego goes with it. It can be done! Be careful what you choose.  You may get it. Don’t let adverse facts stand in the way of a good decision. You can’t make someone else’s choices. You shouldn’t let someone else make yours. Check small things. Share credit. Remain calm.  BE KIND. Have a vision. Be demanding. Don’t take counsel of your fears or naysayers. Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier. You Are What You Repeatedly Do First you make your habits, and then your habits make you. You become a slave to your constantly repeated acts. What at first you choose, at last compels. Your habits are either the best of servants or the worst of masters. Your thoughts lead you on to a purpose,  your purposes go forth in action. Your actions form your habits. Your habits determine your character, and your character fixes your destiny. Once in motion, a pattern stays in motion. Your Aspirations Are Your Possibilities The first ingredient of your success is to dream a great dream. You must dream big and think big to be big. High expectation always precedes high achievement. You’re as small as your controlling desires, or as great as your dominant aspirations. Once your mind stretches to a new idea it will never go back to its original dimensions. If you dream of little goals you can expect little achievement. Dream of big goals and you’ll win big success. Miracles Are All Around Us You don’t need an explanation for everything. Recognize that there are such things as miracles, events for which there are no explanations. Later, knowledge may explain those events quite easily. The fact that you can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another’s, smile at someone and receive a smile in return are common miracles. Your duty to yourself is to believe that for which you have sufficient evidence, and to suspend your judgment when you have not. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Some things have to be believed to be seen. Vision is the art of seeing invisible things. Starting Is The Key To Success If you want to be successful you can start anytime. Your only true failure lies in the failure to start. The reason why so little is ever done, is generally because so little is attempted. The great thing is the start. To see an opportunity and to pursue it. Even though in the beginning, you’re not totally sure of all the answers to your questions. Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most. Don’t wait to overcome all your possible objections before you start, or nothing will ever be attempted. If you can get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed. You Can Achieve Anything You Imagine          Your imagination is your mental workshop where all your plans are fashioned. Visualize your goals and you’ll get your subconscious to work toward making your mental pictures come true. Picture yourself in your minds eye as having already achieved your goal. See yourself doing the things you’ll be doing when you’ve reached your destination. Olympic medalists use the art of mental rehearsal or visualization. They mentally run through important events before they happen. Decide what you want out of your life. Sense it before you have it. See it, feel it, taste it, smell it and imagine the emotions associated with the attainment of your goal. Pre-live it in your mind before you have it. Your vision will become a powerful driving force in your life. See the things you want as already yours, and one day, they will be yours.
