You Are Your Environment Always be mindful that you’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your objective. Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success, or are they holding you back? The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are. You’re not a captive of your environment. If you don’t like where you are, you can make some changes. You’re not planted permanently in the ground like a tree. Don’t say, “You would, if you could,” start saying, “You will, because you can.” When you become a part of anything it becomes a part of you. A Good System Shortens The Road To A Goal Having an intelligent plan is your first step to success. With a plan, you know where you’re going. You’ll know what progress you’re making. And you’ll have a pretty good idea of when you can expect to arrive. Meticulous planning will enable everything you do to appear spontaneous to other people. Your goals can only be reached through the vehicle of a plan. One in which you fervently believe, and upon which you will vigorously act. There is no other route to success. What do you want to achieve or avoid? The answers to these questions are your objectives. How do you go about achieving your desired results? The answer to this will be your strategy. A good plan permits you to frame your life so that at some time in the future fact and your dreams will meet. Success or failure is often determined on the drawing board. You Always Have A Chance You know what you are today but not what you may be tomorrow. Use your imagination and look at things as they can be. You can do anything you wish to do, have anything you wish to have, and be anything you wish to be. You don’t know what you can really do until you try. All you have to do is to act on your dreams. You have the power within you to do things you never dreamed possible. You would amaze yourself if you did all the things you’re capable of doing. This power becomes available to you as soon as you change some of your beliefs. Success begins in your mind. You Are What You Think Whatever you plant in your subconscious mind and nourish every day with emotion and conviction will one day become a reality. Constant repetition carries conviction. Repeat something often enough and it will start to become you. A change in what you tell yourself will result in a change in your behavior. What you impress upon your mind, you’ll inevitably become. Self suggestion makes you master of yourself. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Accept Change With A Smile Sooner or later you’ll experience a crisis in your life, and how you meet it will determine your future happiness and success. Since the beginning of time, everyone has been called upon to meet such a crisis. A closer look will show you that most “crisis situations” are opportunities to either advance or stay where you are. In fact, most changes in your life will take place out of either “inspiration” or “desperation.” Whatever comes your way, give it meaning and transform it into something of value. Your personal growth is the process of responding positively to change. A precious stone cannot be polished without friction, nor humanity perfected without trials.
