Success Requires Courage The goals and dreams we seek require courage and risk-taking. Have the courage to take just a little more risk every day, but never risk more than you are willing to lose. Remember that all we ever get in life are results. Not always the result we wanted, but still, results. Thomas Edison didn’t fail over 500 times. He succeeded in finding over 500 different ways a light bulb would not work. On your road to achieving your goals we can learn from a valuable lesson from the turtle. A turtle only make progress when it sticks its neck out. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Never Say Never There is no such thing as no chance. Don’t think about the things you can’t do. Think about the things you can do. No matter what the level of your ability is, you have more potential than you can ever develop in a lifetime. You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never thought you could do. There are no limitations to what you can do except the limitations of your own mind. Your range of available choices right now is limitless. Look at things as they can be. Don’t Be Afraid To Take Risks You can live your dreams if you can embrace change. It’s by taking chances that you’ll learn how to be brave. You’re different from everyone else on the planet and that makes you very special. Only you know what is best for you. Your life can slip through your fingers if you live in the past or the future. Live your life with passion every day and you’ll truly live all the days of your life. Remember where you have been and know where you are going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way. You can have anything you want from life if you are willing to work for it. You owe it to yourself to go for it. You Are What You Repeatedly Do The beginning of a habit is like an invisible thread. Every time you repeat the act you strengthen the strand. You add to it another filament with each repetition, until it becomes a great cable and binds you irrevocably to each thought and act. First you make your habits and then they make you. Your thoughts lead you to your purpose. Your purpose always manifests into action. Your actions form your habits. Your habits determine your character, and your character fixes your destiny. Your habits are either the best of servants or the worst of masters. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

You Must Pay A Price For Success Whatever you want in life, you must give up something to get it. The greater the value, the greater the sacrifice required of you. There’s a price to pay if you want to make things better, and a price you’ll pay for just leaving things as they are. Nothing worthwhile comes easily to anyone. Work, continuous work and hard work, is the only way to accomplish results that last. Don’t let the fear of change stop you from pursuing your dreams. There is no success at bargain basement prices. The highway to success is a toll road. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Service Is The Essence Of Success All successful people became successful because they gave some talent or ability in the service of others. You can contribute in some way to others no matter how small your talent. You too, can become successful. No one achieves success without being of service. Leadership is action, not position. The successful don’t use others, other people use the successful, for above all success is of service. Everyone has to be someone to someone to be anyone. Vision Is The Art Of Seeing Invisible Things You don’t need an explanation for everything. Recognize that there are such things as miracles, events for which there are no explanations. Later, knowledge may explain those events quite easily. The fact that you can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another’s, smile at someone and receive a smile in return are common miracles. Your duty to yourself is to believe that for which you have sufficient evidence, and to suspend your judgment when you have not. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Some things have to be believed to be seen. Don’t believe in miracles, depend on them. It’s Never Over Until You Say It’s Over The power to hold on in spite of everything, to endure, this is the quality of a winner. Your greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time you fail. It’s your constant and determined effort that will eventually break down all resistance and sweep all the barriers before you. Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that’s necessary to reach your goal. All great achievements require time. Endurance is the crowning quality of success. It Takes Persistence To Reach Your Goal “Keep trying” is the rule that must be followed if you want to be successful at anything. Your success will always be connected with your actions. Just keep moving towards your goal. You’ll make mistakes along the way but don’t ever quit. You may even have to hang on after others have let go. Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that’s necessary to reach your goal. In the end, the only people who fail are those that do not try. All great achievements takes time. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

You Can Live Your Dream You have to make your own opportunities. Your future is not a matter of chance. It’s a matter of the choices you make. It’s not something you wait for. It’s something you must actively pursue. Don’t wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Opportunity can come disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. Start today, right where you are. Distant fields will always appear greener. Yet, golden opportunities are all around you. You can live a great dream. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)
