No Authority Is Higher Than Reality Truth isn’t a matter of your personal viewpoint. Learn to see things as they really are, not as you imagine they are. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or who says it. No matter what you believe, it never changes the facts. If they are there, the facts always speak for themselves. The truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of people. If sixty million people say a foolish thing, it’s still a foolish thing. The sky is no less blue because the blind man does not see it. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

You Make Your Own Opportunities Your destiny isn’t a matter of chance, it’s a matter of the choices you’ll make in the coming year. Success isn’t something you wait for, it’s something you must pursue in the months ahead. Don’t wait for extraordinary opportunities to be successful. Seize common occasions and turn them into great ones. Opportunities sometimes come disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. Start where you are. You’re at this moment, standing right in the middle of opportunity. If you act on your dreams you can live them in the New Year. You have a lot to look forward to. Opportunity Is All Around You The people that really succeed in the world are the people who look for the circumstances they want. And, if they can’t find them, they make them. The lure of the distant and the difficult can be deceptive. The great opportunity in your life is where you are right now. Properly perceived, every situation can become an opportunity for you. Your destiny isn’t a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice. It’s not something you wait for, but rather something you achieve with effort. You’re surrounded by opportunity, but things won’t turn up in this world until you turn them up. It’s Always A Good Time To Change The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are. You’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your goals. Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success or are they holding you back? Your world today is a living expression of how you are using and have used your mind. It’s something that you can change at any time. You don’t have to remain a captive of your environment. Don’t say “If I could change, I would change,” say “I can change, and I will change.” (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

You Can Do Something Your life will always be to a large extent whatever you want to make of it. The mold to your success and fortune are in your hands. You can’t do everything, but you can do something. You choose your thoughts and your actions. Your thoughts and your actions will lead you to success. Nobody can do it for you. Nobody will do it for you. You have to make it happen. Only you can find success. If you take responsibility for your actions, you can live your dreams and attain the success you want and deserve. You Do Not Exist For Yourself You’re not an isolated island. You’re a piece of the planet, a piece of the universe. Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows. Your success depends on the support of other people. The only hurdle between you and what you want to be, is the support of others. When you put yourself in another’s place, you’ll know why they think and do certain things. You can succeed fastest by helping others to succeed. Always think in terms of what the other person wants. You’ll get everything in life that you want if you’ll help enough other people get what they want. Doing things for others always pays dividends. When you help someone’s boat across a river, you’ll find your own boat has reached the shore too. You Have To Give, Before You Get It’s a universal law: You have to give before you get. You must plant your seeds before you reap the harvest. The law works to give you back more than you have sown. When you give to others, you’ll find yourself blessed. The more you sow, the more you reap. He who obtains has little. He who scatters has much. Nature does not give to those who will not spend. You only get to keep what you give away. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Opportunity Lies In The Midst Of Difficulty Successful people don’t achieve their distinction by having some new talent or opportunity presented to them. They developed an opportunity that was at hand. You’ll find that every situation, properly perceived, offers you an opportunity. As fast as each opportunity presents itself, use it. No matter how tiny an opportunity may be, use it. Every problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it literally dwarfs the problem. The greatest success stories were created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity. You’ll find new directions when you have an open mind and a willing hand. You must make your own opportunities if you want to be successful. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)

Self Suggestion Makes You Master Of Yourself Whatever thoughts you plant in your subconscious mind and nourish every day with conviction and emotion will one day become a reality. Constant repetition carries conviction. Repeat something often enough and it will start to become you. A change in what you tell yourself will result in a change in your behavior. What you impress upon your mind, you’ll inevitably become. You are what you think. (Reprinted with permission, Sam Maitz, Director of Marketing Technology, Leadership Management® International, Inc.)
